Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are not just buzzwords at SAS. We embrace each one of these concepts fully, as one does not, in itself, ensure diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. We believe each must be present at all times.

Diversity at SAS is the presence of various identities in our community. Identities are multifaceted and intersecting characteristics, values, beliefs, experiences, backgrounds, preferences, behaviors and more. These identities relate to the individual as well as the larger SAS organization.

Equity at SAS embodies the norms, beliefs, structures and policies that ensure everyone has access to fair and just opportunities. It requires ongoing work to identify and address imbalances, insensitivity and unequal starting places.
